Thomas H. Handy Sazerac is named after the barman Thomas H. Handy, who is known for adding American Rye whiskey to the Sazerac cocktail around 1847 in New Orleans. The 2017 offering of Thomas H. Handy Sazerac was distilled in the spring of 2011 and bottled in the fall of 2017. After 6 years and 5 months, 72 barrels were selected for bottling. Thomas H. Handy Sazerac is uncut and unfiltered straight rye whiskey from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.
